Former resident dies in Tampico Mexico
The body of Clement Duncan, who died in Tampico, Mexico, was brought to Rochdale then Sharp for funeral services at the Presbyterian church conducted by Rev. George A. Pentcast. Interment followed in Sharp cemetery beside his father W. F. Duncan. He was a Shrine Arabia member in Houston and a Mason in Rockdale and Cameron.

The Milam County Baptist Encampment begins Sunday night July 26 at Wayside Tourist Camp near the Little River bridge and runs through Friday July 31. An expected 200 campers join from across the county with delegations from neighboring counties. Rev. L. E. Strickland and Rev. N. D. Timmerman lead morning and evening services, with Big Chief T. C. Gardner speaking on July 26 morning and at the encampment that night.
