Milam County Home Demonstration work since 1934 shows over $1,000,000 in wealth added to rural homes in ten years through food product value, yard and bedroom improvements, and community club programs. The effort reached about 85 percent of 2300 farm families, with 51 demonstrations on yards and 23 on related topics, plus numerous exhibits, rallies, and classroom activities involving 4-H and women’s clubs.
