More than 100 stockmen attended the Cameron Auction Barn meeting led by J D Thompson who urged focus on high quality hay and protein supplements. Dr J F Sousares announced plans for Milam County cattle testing likely starting in late March with no cost during the program and a 60 day test window. Leaders from several towns were honored for work on the Southwest Screwworm Eradication program. A grain sorghum meeting with Ben Speers from A&M is set for January 29 at 7 30 p m in Cameron District Courtroom to discuss varieties fertilizing and weed control.

Milam Youth Enter San Antonio Livestock Show Entries
Thirteen Milam County youths compete at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition February 12 to 21 at the Joe Freeman Coliseum.
