Robert Lehmann, two years old, wandered from his grandparents near Buckholts Sunday afternoon and was found by Cecil Mode near South Elm Creek. A search at Cameron involved Cameron Fire Department Texas Rangers and over two hundred volunteers from Milam and Bell Counties. He is in satisfactory condition at Newton Memorial Hospital and will remain hospitalized several days.

Cameron Man's Nephew Wounded Again in Korean War
Pfc. Gilbert R. Thompson, nephew of Henderson Thompson of Cameron, has been wounded in Korea. In a hospital in Japan he said he crawled into a thicket to escape the enemy after being hit, then to safety at nightfall, marking his second injury in the conflict after returning to duty following earlier wounds last September. He is the son of Mrs. Luther B. Matthews of Nouston and Hal Thompson of Fort Worth.

Milam County Draft Board calls 44 for pre-induction tests
Milam County draft authorities ordered 44 men to report for pre induction physical examinations on February 15. This is the seventh call from Milam County since the Korean War began, part of a nationwide quota increase that could push the U S Army toward 3 5 million by June.
