Milam County commissioners postpone action on a prohibition referendum until Monday January 16 to hear residents and consider a petition presented by Mrs. J R McCrary signed by 578 voters. The court delayed earlier petition from two months prior and will hear statements from supporters at the session.
Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Pressley were hospitalized after their car skidded and overturned on a rainy return from San Gabriel where they had taken their daughter, a schoolteacher. Mrs. Geo. Ocker of Rosebud is reported much improved at Cameron Hospital.
The bulletin lists residents and visitors in recovery or improving health. Pressleys, Heintze, Reddehase, Lewis, Adamek, Michalka, Schuttle, McAfee, Fuchs, Allday, and others are noted for hospital stays, home recoveries, or improving conditions after surgery or injury. The Cameron Hospital staff expresses gratitude and commitment to continued care.
Mr and Mrs James Wright and Son thank friends neighbors and others for acts of kindness sympathy flowers and help during the long illness and death of their darling baby Johnnie Wright. Frank McKay Dan Tyson city secretary and treasurer attended the Texas Legislature opening in Austin Tuesday. Miss Clara Matula spent Sunday in Temple. Mrs Albert Willis recovering at home after appendectomy. Mrs Hub Sloan of Temple transacted business in Cameron Friday.
Manuel B. Hartley presides with Bible study at 10:00 a.m. and sermons at 10:55 a.m. The program includes Pictures of Life by J. D. Bowen of Temple at 7:15 p.m. daily services run January 15 to 20 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
