Funeral services for H Sloan of Temple were held at the Church of Christ in Rogers on Sunday afternoon January 1 1939. Sloan long resided in Milam county and was a Yarrellton Masonic Lodge member. He died at King Daughters Hospital Temple after years of illness. Burial followed in Rogers Cemetery.

Funeral services were held at 4 30 pm Thursday at Green Funeral Home chapel with Rev P T Ramsey of First Methodist Rockdale delivering the sermon. Interment followed in Oak Hill cemetery.

Funeral services for Miss Lillie Issaca Neheer 72 were held at the Coleman Undertaking Company chapel. She died Thursday night at her Cameron home after a long illness and coma. She was born in Germany February 18 1866 to John G. Nehear and his wife. She lived with her sister Mrs Ed English and is survived by nieces and nephews. Interment at Oakhill cemetery with Coleman Funeral home in charge.

Crash near Splawn claims Ben Arnold farmer
Francis L. Clifton, 65, well known Ben Arnold farmer and father of Kyle Clifton, died instantly in a midnight crash near Splawn when his car collided head on with a Mexican driver who was injured. Five other Italians? No. The injured were taken to Cameron hospital. an inquest followed but no arrests planned as officials deemed the crash unavoidable. Clifton survived by a widow and six children, and his funeral from Ben Arnold Baptist church proceeded with interment at Ben Arnold.
