Former Resident Emma Whitman Buried in Waco

Emma D. Whitman died Monday in Waco at age 72 and funeral services were held Tuesday at her daughter Mrs Davis Godley’s home. Depository Bonds Arranged by Cameron County Courts

Bond totaling 330000 furnished and accepted by the Commissioners Court. The First National Bank of Cameron and Citizens National Bank of Cameron serve as depositories for county and state funds. Citizens Bank holds two thirds of the funds and bonds for 220000. First National holds one third and bonds for 110000. Minutes show the banks meeting where the deposit arrangement was formalized.

Basil Case to Contest Checkers Exhibition in Cameron

Basil Case a 22 year old checker expert from Chicago will visit Cameron for an exhibition on Tuesday night March 1 starting at 7 30.
