Horace White, a Milano livestock owner and School Board member, died of a heart attack and was found in a pasture near his home. Funeral services were held Monday in Milano after news of his death reached Cameron. he is survived by his widow Louise Morgan, two daughters Frances Hooker and Mary Baggett, and one granddaughter Mary Frances Hooker.

Air Corps mechanic keeps flying set in ranks
Woodrow T. Scheenithes volunteered for the Army Air Corps in 1941 and trained at Ellington Field before serving at Bakers Field in California. Son of Mrs. Annie Scheguit and the late Tom Scheguit of Marlow, he was born and raised there and is a Yee High School graduate noted for good progress and satisfaction with his work.

Fire damages Green and Hoedeker store. regional blaze
A Thursday afternoon fire at 2 30 in the Green and Hoedeker store caused only light damage estimated in the hundreds of dollars. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze which began in several cases of matenes that exploded, with incidentals including broken containers of apple butter and minor water damage. Leland Green Sr praised the firemen for their prompt response.

Pvt. Walter G. Marek of Burlington is stationed at Camp Hood under the Department of the Provost Marshal. He visited Cameron last weekend on three day leave from Camp Hood and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Marek Sr. of Burlington.
