Milam County Road Bond Election Ordered in 1919
The Milam County Commissioners Court in special session orders a March 15 1919 election in Road District No 16 to decide on issuing 30000 dollars in bonds at 5 percent to fund macadamized roads. The measure includes a tax to pay interest and build a sinking fund, with notices to be published and posted in three public places for three weeks. Walker Cox is named as election manager and the district comprises 8360 acres across multiple grants.
