The county will be quarantined March 1 1919 forcing cattle out of Milam to halt shipments until dipping reduces contamination. Commissioners pledge materials for vats at selected sites if locals provide work and water. petitions for vat locations available from precincts or the county judge. Milam County Chapter AR C shipped 160 socks last week and packed four boxes this week totaling 50 sweaters 20 pairs of socks 460 refugee garments 10 infant layettes 50 red shirts and 80 men’s underwear. A new quota of 100 refugee garments arrives and urges women to help prepare them. The war is over but Red Cross spirit continues through community effort.
County Agent George Banzhaf directs a Saturday gathering of Milam County boys at the Cameron courthouse to plan a year of corn raising and pig breeding. About 60 to 70 youths are expected. seed corn for sixty more members remains available, with thirty pig and sixty corn applications received. Teachers urged to support the program. a February 22 meeting invites applicants to collect seed corn and discuss bred gifts.
Clippings from several papers share reports on Black Billy Sunday, famed evangelist, as he prepares a revival in Cameron beginning March 19. Milam County will receive 45000 in Federal and State Aid for two high priority projects. Branchville to Port Sullivan road 20,000 and Buckholts road 25,000 will fund state highway 36a and 36, linking Cameron with Port Sullivan and the Robertson Milam line. The Cameron Commercial Club urged the request, with T S Henderson leading the delegation in Austin.
Local manager C S Peyton of the Southwestern Telegraph and Telephone Company has been promoted to district commercial manager, requiring his removal from Cameron. He arrived in Cameron four years ago from Cleburne and earned broad trust. The Cameron office will soon name a new manager, with Peyton’s station under the Cleburne general office to ensure continued service for patrons.

City Tax Collector and Assessor Dan Tyson released the annual report on city taxes paid through January 1919. January 1919 collections totaled 25,105.21 on the 1918 rolls, with ad valorem, school, special, and polls components. The council approved the report.
