Hunger Dazed Man Cared for By City Government Hero
J. F. Roberts, 44, from the Ozark Mountains, was found dazed Saturday between Milano and Rockdale unable to walk. A Cameron physician said he suffered starvation and a sprained back from an effort to roll a log for a fire. City officers are caring for him.

J C Davis aged 67 a Milam county native and Cameron resident died at his son Rays Olney home on Saturday January 28. Funeral held Sunday at 3 pm at Cameron Methodist church with Rev J C Buttrill. burial at Oak Hill Cemetery beside his former wife. Survived by wife and several children. Last Survivor of Milam County Hood’s Brigade Dies at 95
Sam Bellah, long resident of Bernard after Cameron, died at his home December 22 at age 95. A veteran of Hood’s Texas Brigade Company G, 5th Hood’s Brigade, he fought in Virginia battles and was the last Milam County member to wear the Gray. He leaves several grown children across the state and was connected by marriage to Mrs Martha Rogers, widow of Major J C Rogers.
