Former Starrett Hickman dies at 74 in Cameron hospital
Former Cameron city councilman and local groceryman Starrett Hickman died Sunday in a Cameron hospital at age 74. He was born in Cameron, served on the city council, attended First Baptist Church, and is survived by his wife La-Vada Hickman and two brothers. Funeral services were held Monday in Cameron with burial at Walkers Creek Cemetery. The obituary notes his health prompted retirement.

Fire Destroys RHS Building in Rockdale Blaze
