Funeral services for Clyde V Watters 62 were held at 2:30 p m Sunday from Greens Funeral Home with Dr Mark Magers officiating. He died December 14 at Newton Memorial Hospital after a period of illness and is buried at Oak Hill Cemetery. He was World War I veteran and had lived in Cameron the past year. Surviving are his widow Leatha and three stepsons and four stepdaughters, plus siblings and other relatives.

Paul Cluck 82 of Marlin died at Marlin Hospital on Saturday December 15 1951 after several days illness. He lived in Marlin most of his life since 1903 born 1869 in Reagan. He worked for Cheeves Bros Cameron and Waxahachie ran a short Elgin business and retired ten years ago. He also served 31 years as bookkeeper for Nash Robinson and Company. Rabid Dog Killed In Marlow Community
A stray rabid dog was killed near Johnny Houston’s home in the Marlow area on Wednesday. Sheriff Black shot the animal believing it to be dead. Dr. David Smith later shot it and sent the head to Austin for rabies testing which showed positive signs. Residents are warned to watch their dogs for several days.

Vincent Holub Buried At Wallis Father Of Rev Ben Holub
Vincent L. Holub 65 was buried at Wallis and Brenham with a Solemn Requiem Mass officiated by his son Rev Ben Holub. He died Friday December 14 at St Frances Hospital Brenham after a heart attack. He left a widow and six grandchildren, with sons Rev Ben Holub William Holub and First Lt Fred Holub and daughter Mrs Jack Lambert. He owned Wallis Bottling Co and later large land interests near Bay City. He was born January 21 1886 in Fayetteville and married Francis Pisklak on October 9 1906. He was a former member of St Marys Brenham and survived by siblings and several relatives.
