Former teacher and family found dead in Texas cabin
Mrs. J. H. Clark once taught at Cameron High School and her husband J. H. Clark a Corpus Christi real estate operator, along with their six month old son, were found dead in a Corpus Christi tourist cabin. A coroner ruled accidental asphyxiation from a gas stove. Funeral services were held in Pleasanton, Atascosa County.

Hogan Couple Ends 13 Day Furlough At Aberdeeen Proving Grounds

Joe Campes Receives Eight-Year Murder Sentence
Joe Campes was convicted of murder in Cameron District Court for the August 4 1943 stabbing death of Ramon Machaca. The 22 year old was sentenced to eight years in prison after claiming self defense which the state rejected. Campes was arrested at the Dica Young farm after a church celebration ended and was jailed following the verdict.

Anton and Doe Kopriva are cooks while Frank Kopriva Jr. once drove the car for President Roosevelt at Fort Sam Houston.
