Serious Accident Near Santa Fe Depot Involves Two Boys

Last Monday evening about eight o'clock Charley Green and Frank Plaster, both teen boys, were riding on a Chevrolet roadster when they collided with two cars and a Wells Fargo Express wagon near Mondrik Bros. and Matocha stores. A wagon shaft pierced Plaster’s stomach. Green was crushed between the wagon and car. They were rushed to the Sanitarium where medical staff reported they were improving by Wednesday afternoon.

Buckner's Orphans Home Remembered During Thanksgiving

The Baptist church women packed and shipped a box valued at 150 dollars to Buckner's Orphans Home in Dallas. Merchants donated a variety of goods, and Cameron High School plans a Friday football game with the town team at the ball park to aid the Red Cross.

Cameron First Stop on Aero Mail Route

Cameron becomes the first listed stop on a proposed US aero mail route. Major John G. Whitesides ordered three Curtis planes to start Saturday, with Cameron as the initial landing site, to map routes and plan mail service. The Cameron Commercial Club and local citizens welcomed the expedition.

The theft occurred between six o clock and the garage closing time and was not noticed until Monday morning. Blaylock is pursuing a lead and expects to recover the vehicle soon.

At a Civic League meeting last week it was decided the tin can wagon will resume service and a day in mid January will be Clean Up Day. The group urged Cameron residents to cooperate and help make the town cleaner.
