Sweden weighs day care impact as mothers split on freedom and care
In Stockholm a national debate grows over expanding Sweden day care for preschoolers with proposals like a six hour work day for parents. Proponents cite social development and communication gains while critics warn of love-starved children and parental fatigue. Among supporters is Inger Rindsjoe whose three year old attends center daily and thrives socially. Marianne Rocklind questions conditions in centers and notes some parents ignore issues at home.
