Joint Meeting For Christmas Luncheon

Mrs. Crittenden Receives Ford Auto Franchise
Ruth Crittenden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Griffith and former Cameron resident, was granted the Ford Motor Company franchise to own and operate Crittenden Ford, Inc., Rosenhersh. Ford Dearborn announced official approval last week, noting she is the first woman in the Houston District to hold a 100 percent owner and authorized Ford dealer contract.

History Club program on law enforcement
The Cameron History Club met with Mrs. John Howard on November 8 at 3 p.m. with 14 members present. James Camp, committee member for the proposed one cent city sales tax election on December 19, presented facts about the tax. Mrs. Mary Lawrence led a program on the "Changing World of Law Enforcement" and refreshments followed.

St Monica Ladies Host Public Reception Friday
The St Monica Ladies and Christian Mothers plan a public reception after the 7 30 pm mass on Friday December 8. At Simon George Hall Tuesday the group led by Mrs Harold Moore discussed plans and reports from the district meeting in Marak and the Thanksgiving clothing drive which yielded about 1009 pounds of clothing for local needy residents.
