Milam Areans Mother Daughters Attack Waco Police

Teen girls aged 13 and 15 and their 40 year old mother fought with Waco Police on a Friday afternoon. They assaulted an officer and were taken to juvenile authorities. In Georgetown Dale Conway found a 200 plus pound bell in the San Gabriel River and kept it at home awaiting owner claim.

Rockdale study notes air conditioning feasibility. Caldwell Texas. Robert Wiederhold, game warden, reported 150 deer killed during opening weekend hunting in Burleson county. He cited three illegal cases and one wild turkey killed illegally.

Construction Approved For New FM Road In Milam County

The State highway and Public Transportation Commission approves a 2.6 mile Farm to Market Road in Milam County as part of the 1975 FM Road program. Extension of FM 2027 from Baileyville southeast across Pond Creek, cost about $335,000 with relocation assistance. Delton Kittrell will oversee design and construction in Hearne. The statewide program funds $38.1 million for 582.5 miles of secondary roads.

Bomb scare empties Ada Henderson School

A telephoned bomb threat Wednesday just before 11 am emptied the Ada Henderson School building. Police and officials searched the building. no bomb was found. Principal Bob Martin said a device was placed on school phones to intercept such calls and identify the caller.

Yule Decor Contest Open For Homes

Cameron residents are invited to join a Christmas decorating contest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce Community improvement committee with Lions and the Cameron Ministerial Alliance. Five categories include religious, Bicentennial, door, lighting, and grand champion with prizes totaling 88 dollars. Judging closes December 19 and entry forms are available at the Chamber.

Donors Urged To Give Blood Here Tuesday

Red Cross bloodmobile will visit Cameron on Tuesday at the Methodist Fellowship Hall from 12 noon to 6 pm. The 73 unit quota is below target for 1975 and the effort urges residents to donate a pint to help hospital costs and blood replacement. A new plastic donor record card will be issued starting December.
