Architects McClellan Brown and McClellan of Waco win the contract to remodel the Cameron courthouse. J B Johnson designs the plans. The project includes a concrete roof plastered ceilings new electrical work terrazzo floors and interior remodeling funded by a government grant of 11659 with total county cost 13160 to be paid in under 18 years from savings in repairs and insurance premiums. Pioneer Resident of Milam County Dies Here Monday
Mrs. W. H. Pruett 86 died Monday afternoon November 28 at the Cameron home of her daughter Mrs. I N West after an extended illness. Born in Lavaca County in October 1452 she moved to Milam County seventy years ago and spent most of her life there with her husband. They lived in the Nerviva community before moving to Cameron where he died four years ago at 91. She had lived in this city for 15 years.
