Nurse Becomes Pilot In First Women Training Program
Captain Connie Engel 26 of Cameron joins Lackland AFB flight screening as one of 20 women in the first pilot training program for female officers. She holds a UT nursing degree 1971 and will advance to 49 weeks of jet pilot training at Williams AFB after Lackland.
