The bridge and building department of the I. and G. N. Railway has spent the past week making extensive upgrades at the local station. A new floor for the cotton platform will aid cotton shippers by easing the handling of large shipments. Additional smaller improvements are planned.
Boy Scouts Depart For Camp Fly At New Braunfels
Thorndale sends 18 scouts to ten day Camp Wm. Fly in Landa Park New Braunfels joining about 300 Scouts from San Antonio and 25 from Comfort. Scoutmaster J W Echols and Assistant Jamie Clark lead the party with autos supplied by local supporters.
