Bigbee Home Destroyed By Noon Fire At 316 North Houston
Fire at Mrs. W. D. Bigbee's residence caused an estimated 10000 loss today. The blaze originated in a flue during noon meal preparations and quickly spread to the roof. Chief Monta Thomas and Assistant Chief Joe Lindsey led the effort as water pressure hampered suppression. The Mangum and Ross homes were spared with the wind driving flames away from them. About 30 people lost boarding arrangements due to the blaze.
