Maize storage soars in Cameron County as 13 million pounds move
Milam County reports about 13 million pounds of maize purchased or stored with 90 cars of milo lined at Wilson elevator and Milam Grain Co officials noting nine million pounds in since harvest. Moore estimates 60 percent of grain will enter storage with loan price at 1.75 per 100 pounds and average yield near 2 000 pounds per acre.
