Milam County Board of Education approved allowing Burlington Independent District to teach ten grades to replace the parental school, due to rural conditions. Millerton and Two Mile two teacher schools were allowed eight grades. Davilla transfers to Althea District were sustained, with notice of appeal filed. New field notes redefined district boundaries for Gay Hill Rushdale Fairview and Conoley districts.

Marlow Doughboys Defeat Tracy In Sunday Clash
The Marlow Doughboys beat Tracy 6 to 2 in their first game under new manager and captain Jack Hobson. Hobson struck out 15, while Onion Morgan of Howard Payne College batting for Tracy contributed two base hits. A standout moment was a one handed catch by Marlow’s left fielder on Mc Lerran’s long drive. They set to meet Tracy again on Sunday August 14 at Tracy.
