Frank Seibert Dies in Cameron After Long Illness
Frank Seibert age 73 died at his daughter Mrs. Joe Hebner's home after an extended illness on Saturday afternoon July 30. Funeral services were held Sunday at 5:00 pm at St. Monica's Church by Rev. George Apel and burial was in the Catholic cemetery. He was born in Austria and came to Texas as a young man. he lived with the Hebner family for the last fifteen years. Survived by daughters Mrs. Joe Hebner Cameron, Mrs. Fritz Glaser Buckhuts, Mrs Joe Mayberry Imperial California, and three sons Frank Seibert Rogers, Rogers, and William and Pat Seibert Imperial California. Members of the C D H S Lodge for 37 years attended. Green Brothers arranged the services. pallbearers were John Richter, Ernest Denker, John Wiltschek, Joe Hamosi, Ernest Ludwik and August Randerman.

First Bale of 1932 Cotton Ginned at Cameron
The first bale of the 1932 crop was ginned in Cameron Friday afternoon July 29 by R. M. Moorman from the North Elm community. The bale weighed 527 pounds and sold for 8 1/2 cents per pound to Cameron and Flinn cotton merchants. It came from 26 acres, with an estimated Milam county crop of about 50 000 bales, roughly 20 000 below the prior year, due to insects and hot dry weather.

Mrs. R. Powers aged 86 widow of Confederate veteran R. Powers died July 27 1932 at the Confederate Home in Austin. She was mother to Mrs. J. P. Hefti of Maysfield and mother in law to Mr. Hefti. J. P. Hefti Henry Hefti and Leone Hefti went to Austin for the funeral. Mrs. Hefti to remain for health reasons citing enduring sorrow among friends.
