Temple Junior College will offer credit courses in Cameron for the fall semester. Registration is August 16 at 6:30 p.m. in Ben Milam Cafeteria. Cracking Soil Blamed For Gas Line Leak
Dry weather and soil cracks were blamed by Lone Star Gas Co for a service line leak to a Park and 5th College residence. Police traced a gas odor to the site around 4 am Saturday and alerted residents until the leak was fixed. A 1 inch nipple separated from the underground line, causing the escape. Modern Gin of Buckholts shipped its first 1977 season bale as E D Taylor of Holland delivered 2 570 pounds of seed cotton baled at 525 pounds.
