Lott Clinic Opens in Former Library Building

A second Milam County oil gusher blew in Thursday afternoon on a 55 acre Peeples tract near Milano. Drilled by B&B Drilling Co and W C Pemberton & Associates in the Austin Chalk, rumors say the well could produce about 1000 barrels per day with substantial gas.

Alert Woman Helps Capture Burglary Suspects in Buckholts
A Buckholts area woman, Mrs. Shirley Hill, saw two suspects leaving her home with sewing machines and noted their car license number. Authorities used the information to arrest Shelia White and Ernest Riley for burglary of a habitation. White posted bond and Riley was jailed on a $10,000 bond.
