Vote Sought On Killing Whales
Conservationists urge a worldwide ban on whaling for the five most endangered species. Delegates at the UN Law of the Sea Conference in Geneva are asked to vote to protect blue gray right humpback and bowhead whales. Dr. Roger Payne notes the danger of permits for used ships and ongoing hunts. A CBS TV special on April 30 will feature Payne and whale behavior near Patagonia.
