Cameron Junior High School finished second with 73 points at the junior high interscholastic meet in Rockdale. Taylor led with 75 points while Cameron winners included Jeanie Dodd first in eighth grade spelling and plain writing, Ramona Cummings seventh, Karla Stanislaw first in eighth grade spelling, Richard Raymond first in eighth grade number sense. Lan sing Dusek placed third in boys oral reading and Elizabeth Walston won second in girls division. Eloise Henderson took third in ready writing. seventh grade earned a second in each event.

A judging tour is set for Tuesday at 9 45 a m starting at the Methodist Fellowship annex with guides Don Rose C Gray Ezra Johnson Alfred Coats Mrs Myrtle Bunton and W H Gray. Judging focuses on community organization facilities services family living social participation long range improvement and agricultural efforts. Sponsored by Texas electric utilities in cooperation with Texas A&M University Agricultural Extension Service.

Norris Eugene Moss faces two felony counts in Justice of the Peace court for assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to rob the Keiths after a failed Minimax parking lot robbery. Moss was shot by Keith following the exchange and is jailed on $15,000 bond per charge.
