Mrs Brandenberg Dies Quietly After Long Illness
Mrs Oliva Brandenberg died in a Tampa hospital after a long illness. She lived in Cameron from 194 until 1954 when she moved to Tampa. Services set for Saturday at St Vonica Catholic Church in Cameron with Green Funeral Home handling arrangements. She is survived by a daughter, two grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister. her husband Joe Brandenberg preceded her in death.

Gureckys Die in Collision Near Marak
Mr and Mrs John Gurecky of Route 2 Buckholts were killed in a truck car crash at the SH 320 and Highway 77 intersection near Marak. Delmar Sessums of Slillsboro reported uninjured. Funeral services held at Ss Cyril and Methodius Church Marak with burial in Marak Cemetery. Survivors include a son and daughter and six grandchildren.

The Milam County Historical Association will meet at 2 pm Sunday in the Cameron Public Library. Miss Mary Jelle Ratte acting chairman said relics would be displayed and the public is invited to bring items and share information. The association is still in the organizational stage and welcomes interested participants.

Authorities Seek Hipolito Gonzales
Hipolito Gonzales, sentenced to 15 years for murder with malice, is sought by law officials. He was free on bond pending appeal of a 20th District Court sentence before the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals rejected the appeal last month and he has been missing since. Sheriff Carl Black said area sheriffs were notified. Gonzales was convicted for the August 21, 1965 stabbing of Simon Amador at the LaRumba Bar in Cameron. The Rogers Chapter of the Young Homemakers of Texas met Monday night for the regular monthly meeting with Mrs. Mary Ann Young presiding. Final plans for the home coming float were the main business. Refreshments were served.

Cameron United Fund to elect four new directors
Cameron United Fund will elect four new directors at a general membership meeting on Wednesday April 6 at 5 15 p.m in the Chamber of Commerce office. Incoming chairman A W McCullin Jr said the four will replace Richard Williams Rev Richard Freeman Joe Vybiral and Mrs W C Wallace. The United Fund serves as collecting agency for Boy Scouts Girl Scouts Salvation Army and Red Cross and may invite other charities to join.
