Cameron high school dominated the District 14 I I L competition with two firsts two seconds and two thirds among 14 schools and 59 entrants from Waco Temple and surrounding counties. The Cameron typing team won the team score with Pauline Starnes Mary Keywood Julian Giles Arriett and Roy Baskin. Starnes and Baskin earned top individual honors and will represent Cameron in the state contest at the University of Texas May 5.

Raymond S Kubela 28 of El Campo died after an auto crash Tuesday evening. He was knocked unconscious when hit by a sideswiping vehicle.
