The Selective Service System offices Local Board No. 92 will relocate to the Citizens National Bank Building in Cameron on May 4. Entrance is on the Main Street side, on the second floor. Mrs. Mabel Henson of Buckholts Dies at 72
Mrs. Mabel Henson, 72, of Buckholts died about 4 30 a m Tuesday April 6 at Newton Memorial Hospital after a three week illness. Born March 6 1882 in McMullen County she will be buried at Salem Cemetery after funeral services planned for Wednesday April 7 at 2 p m in the Marek Puris Funeral Home Chapel with Rev A F Russell of First Baptist Church officiating. Survived by husband Tom Henson of Buckholts seven sons Dan Tommy Carl Plas Fort Worth Marvin California Jimmy and John Henson all of Buckholts two daughters Mrs Leo Adey Fort Worth and Mrs E A James Temple 18 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Dave Goree 65 of Buckholts were held at Marek Burns Chapel at 5 p.m. Monday April 5 with Rev C P Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Marek Methodist Cemetery. Goree born November 18 1888 in Buckholts died March 30 at home. He was a farmer and lifelong Buckholts resident. Survived by wife Irene Mae Goree of Soper Oklahoma two sons Odis and Cecil Goree of Soper Oklahoma two daughters Irene Costa of New York City and Carmelell Goree of Maryland three grandchildren two brothers Bill Goree of Stamford Texas and John Goree of Grah am Texas and one sister Mrs Annie Allen of San Angelo.
