Quinn Walker longtime Milam county surveyor and popular Texan died at 8 p m Saturday March 31 1928 after a Friday night stroke while performing tax assessment duties. Born May 1867 in La Vac a county he moved to Milam as a child and served as surveyor from 1894 to 1898 and again from 1900 until his death. Funeral held at the Methodist church with Odd Fellows honoring him and Coleman Eplen overseeing arrangements.

W F Crowell died at his family residence Sunday April 1 1928 after a long period of declining health and heart trouble.
