The Rockfield P T A plans to secure a Kirst Aid Kit for the school aided by the Rockfield Home Economics club. C A Smith of Delphi spoke on Child Training to teachers and parents, stressing home training for preschool children, with plans for a summer round-up and refreshments for about 120 people.
Joan Galbreth sustained a badly cut arm when the Bowman Buick eight left the road and struck a telephone post Sunday night near Logans Port. Helen Scott William Bowman and Lawrence Nipple were with her. they were shaken but uninjured. Joan is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Delmar Galbreth. The wound requires twice daily dressing, with no unfavorable complications anticipated.
It is thought that during the next few months Delphi will have free telephone service with all the towns composing the Carroll County Co operative Telephone Company. Another step forward in the right direction.
Fifty three attendees gathered Monday night at the Barnes hotel Logansport for a junior-senior reception. Betty Lynch served as toastmistress and Senior president William Titus responded to the welcome.

Dr Eva Kennedy is spending today in Indianapolis while Mrs. Carl Raber, previously ill, is now improving nicely and advancing toward better health.
Commencement week activities unfold from Baccalaureate at the Baptist church through a Junior-Senior reception at the Barnes hotel in Logansport to the class play and the diploma ceremony. Diplomas are presented by Mr Hatton with honorary diplomas to Mary Fox and Edith Carter. Ralph Sullivan receives the highest honor for broad participation and a steady B average, earned a bronze plaque gift. Dr Homer P Rainey of Franklin College offers advice on environment, education, and choosing lasting values to guide graduates.
The senior class presentation It Happened In June impressed the audience Wednesday night as one of the best. Marjorie Johnson as Betty showed dignified charm, Helen Jones and Evelyn Yerkes delivered solid performances, Bessie Bechdelt impressed with Irish wit, Grace Shafer stood out as the homeliest girl, while William Titus and Ralph Sullivan added gallant and humorous touches. Raymond Sink played the mean role with noted effect.
Mrs. Carl Raber expresses gratitude to friends and neighbors and the Home Economics club for their kindness, flowers, and other attentions during her illness and hopes to repay the kindness someday.
The Philathea class of the Lutheran Sunday school will present a play on May 6. A goodly number of the young people are coming to attend the Alumni banquet Saturday night at the old time town. Miss Elizabeth Taylor of Fort Wayne is visiting her niece, Mrs. Grant Sweet and husband.
The event showcased real character traits, with Harry O'Bear as the village character delighting the crowd. Mrs Huitt received high praise for coaching. The opera house was packed with all seats sold. Little Miss Cornell of Deer Creek impressed with tap dancing and singing between acts, a remarkable display for her age.
Senior Day Friday features a fine program at the school building with all invited. Saturday's crowning event is the Alumni banquet where the Seniors will be initiated, closing the week as another class passes into history and assumes its place in community affairs.
The Literary Club reports a successful waffle supper financially and thanks all contributors. Miss Lillian Smith of Chicago visits the Frank Snoeburger home this week. The Philathea class presents "As a Woman Thinketh" on May 6. Mr. Rockhill moves his family from Rockfield to the former Bruce Yerkes residence, now the White House.
The Baptist Church held 9:30 Sunday School led by Manford Wolf, 10:30 Junior Congregation, 10:45 Morning Worship, and 7:00 Evening Services. Minister W. A. Bender notes deeds index life and urges right thinking for right living, praising Bro. Kahl’s wisdom and Christ in spending the Lord’s day.

New principal arrives as Douglas Duane Hatton is born Friday April 17 to Mr and Mrs Harry Hatton. Grandmother Mrs Friday joins them in Idaville. Both mother and baby are reported doing finely and in good health.
War Mothers from northwest Indiana assemble in Logansport for an all day session chaired by Mrs. Samuel Spy. Delegates come from Indianapolis Frankfort Delphi Rockfield Monticello Fowler Plymouth and South Bend with Rockfield members listed. A 10:00 AM opening, covered dish dinner at Memorial Home, afternoon business session, and a 4:00 PM tour of Logansport are planned. car owners asked to attend.
The second Sunday after Easter at St. Peters Lutheran Church featured a baccalaureate sermon for the graduating class from local public schools. Regular services will continue next Lord's day with Sunday school at 9 30 and worship at 10 30 morning and 7 30 evening. Elmer Kahl invites the public to attend and assist.
A county Young People meeting after church named Roger Mayhill county chairman of the County Song and Chorus. The group is invited to Noblesville for the State Young People’s conference this fall. A committee set to choose a county flower colors and a name met at Pauline Robeson’s Tuesday evening. Don’t forget stunt night in July.
An exhibit of health posters created by first six grade pupils from county schools will be shown in the assembly room of the Court House in Delphi during the week of April 28 to May 2. Posters will be judged late in the week and the exhibit will be open each afternoon to the public.
Twenty friends of Chas E Rice surprised him Saturday evening for his birthday, marking a cheerful gathering in his honor. The small party featured festive plans and warm wishes amid a friendly, celebratory mood.
