A jury in Corner found Otis Jump 24 of Williams Lurg died by his own action. Jump body found in his car submerged eighteen feet in Marshy Hope Creek after a head blow and other injuries likely from a blunt instrument. Car showed no crash marks and stopped clock read 12 18.

The Academy P T A will stage a two day doll sale Friday and Saturday to benefit the association. Dolls, bought through Woolworths at a discount, will be displayed in Moore’s Furniture toe show window with Old Santa available for children and parents. Higgins Injures Hip in Fall at Vienna Home
James A Higgins a well known county resident is confined to his Vienna home after a fall on the stairway last Thursday. He slipped injuring his hip and sustaining minor head injuries. An X ray showed the hip injury was not as serious as feared and he is improving.
