Surprise Party for Mrs Bonnell in Winterset
About twenty friends gathered at Mrs T C Bonnell home in Winterset to surprise her on her fifty seventh birthday. The door opened and the guests entered before she suspected a thing, then Bonnell revealed the plan. The evening included social chat music and games with a bountiful lunch of pie cake peaches cream and hot coffee served by Rosa Guy Nellie McConnell and Jessie Law before the party returned home wishing Mrs Bonnell many happy surprises.

Charles Wesley Gibson dies in Columbus after illness
Charles Wesley Gibson formerly of Guernsey county died of pneumonia at his Columbus residence on February 10, 1906 following a brief illness. Born in 1837 in Chester county Pennsylvania he married Rachel Stevens in 1858 and leaves four children J A Gibson Mrs J R Spence Charles J A Gibson and the late Samuel B Gibson. He lived on a Lore City farm before relocating to Columbus after amassing a fortune and was a longtime active Methodist Episcopal member. His life was marked by integrity and kindness with a peaceful sunset.
