Pelham Tracks Thief Across Five States to Recover Horses
Jacob Pelham of Murray County Georgia pursued a horse thief for twenty five days after two colts were stolen from his premises. He tracked the thief through Georgia Tennessee North Carolina South Carolina finding one animal in Ellijay and the other in Anderson County before capturing James Davis in Pickens County South Carolina. Pelham recovered the horses with no losses to others and his family remained unaware of his whereabouts during the pursuit.
