Widow of Col Charles H Moore Arrested Over Insurance Claim
Sensation arose when the widow and administratrix of the late Col Charles H Moore faced creditors in Columbus. They allege misreporting of a life insurance payout, seeking to apply it to debts. An agreement secured two mortgages worth 2,000 and 5,000 tied to Guernsey and Licking counties, with about 1,000 in interest, while the widow contends the insurance is her separate estate. Proceedings were postponed pending further agreement terms.
