George Konkel a noted impersonator of Uncle Tom in Harriet Beecher Stowe's drama died suddenly at his Baltimore home at nine p m while at the supper table with family. He was born January 21 1823 in Greencastle Pennsylvania and began on stage in 1844 with the Virginia Nightingale Serenaders. Roswell Grant aged eighty five died at his home in St Albans on Friday. He was the last of eight siblings, uncle to General U S Grant, born in Ohio.
