Mrs William Green Dies At Her Home Near Ideal
Mrs William Green widow of Rev William Green who served Methodist churches in Marion and Taylor counties died at her home near Ideal Sunday about two oclock. She was born August 11 1858 in Macon county and had been ill for nearly three years. Funeral services were held Monday May 1 at 11 am at her home with Turners Chapel cemetery interment in Macon county. The pastor officiated assisted by Rev Stephen Johnson of Hilaville. Pallbearers were Lester Levi John Turner Price Clinton Brooks and Richard Green. She is survived by two brothers R G Turner and J N Turner of Rupert and several nieces and nephews.

Otsego Couple In Severe Wreck Near Butler
Mrs. John Geck of Otsego Michigan was seriously injured when an 11 year old Chrysler overturned near Butler on a Saturday afternoon. She became pinned under debris for about forty minutes and underwent an immediate arm amputation at Montgomery hospital. Her husband, who was driving, escaped injury as high wind and the car's heavy load were blamed for the crash.

Negro Burglar Caught In Trussell Store Heist
City patrolman J D Cooke arrested Zanner Walker 28 Tuesday night for burglary at the W B Trussell grocery on the south side of the public square. Walker admitted breaking a pad lock and said he also broke into the Joiner Brothers store about two weeks earlier. He took a few articles and some change.
