The Mercer University Chapel Choir under Dr Arthur Rich will perform Stainers The Crucifixion at Reynolds Baptist church Thursday March 18 at 8 pm. A 36 voice choir with six soloists will present passages from the last days of Jesus with narrators George Mitchell Charles Evans William Callaway Buice Wallace and Allen Collier among the soloists. The program also features Cesar Franck Psalm 150 and Gounod Sanctus performed by the chorus.

Americus Man Shoots Self After Choosing Casket
In Americus, March 6 an automobile salesman entered I. B. Davis Funeral Home to pick a casket then fatally shot himself. Clayton Manry, 35, left a note for his brother in Florida and was not located. He is survived by his wife, a two year old daughter, and several relatives in Americus and Florida.
