Two Men Die In Highway Crash Near Ellaville
Two men, H. C. Hamlin of Albany and D. A. Bramblett of Atlanta, are killed in a highway collision north of Ellaville on U S 19. Hamlin was assisting a stranded motorist when struck. Bramblett's truck left the road after the impact. Mrs. Hamlin, in the pickup, urged by her husband to warn approaching traffic, fled the vehicle as the crash occurred.

Opening Date Set for Local Swimming Pool
On Monday July 15 the large pool near Community House on Columbus Road is slated to open. Georgia Renovation Co. of Perry, representing Robert and Richard Doll Co. Supervising Engineers, built the pool begun June 17. The Perry firm won the $11 100 bid. total grounds work around $20 000. The pool measures 75 by 28 feet deep end, 60 feet wide shallow end, depths three to 12 feet, capacity 131 800 gallons with built in filter. A baby pool about one quarter size nears completion. Remember the opening date and join the crowd July 15.
