The Band Booster Committee asks parents to contact their school board member about securing a permanent band director for Taylor County. A county school board meeting on June 6, 1957 at 8 PM at the courthouse will discuss placing the position under the school system and funded from the teacher allotment. About $17,000 has been spent on instruments and instructors in three years.
