G W Heath 35 of Dudley was charged with robbing the Four County Bank at Allentown of 10850. A ward attendant at the VA Hospital in Dublin, he allegedly walked in Friday afternoon, pistol in hand, and demanded 15000 dollars from teller Shirley Sloan 22. Sheriff Hatcher said Heath is jailed in Wilkinson County Jail Irwinton.

Thomaston Plans Entering National Fire Safety Drive
Thomaston aims to be Georgia’s model city in the Fire Safety Contest sponsored by the U S Chamber of Commerce. A October fire safety program will enter national competition with entries from all states. M E Ellington will chair the activity as city councilman in charge of the fire department.
