Dairies Hear Talks at Talbott Meeting
The County Agent and six to eight dairymen from our county attended a dairy meeting at Talbott on Tuesday January 27 with talks by Agricultural College specialists. Heavy rains kept many away but attendees valued the event. The milk route has grown from 101 to 265 gallons daily and plans to expand. Pasture issues in lowlands and creek bottoms are highlighted as a main challenge.

Plans have been made for a large missionary banquet for Methodist pastors and laymen in Columbus on February 4 at 7 p.m. in the Columbus Electric and Mower company service building. Noted speakers include Bishop William B Beauchamp of Atlanta and Dr Frank S Onderdonk of San Antonio. The event aims to unite pastors and laymen from about 70 churches in the district for inspiration and formation with no collection, cost per plate 75 cents, reservations through pastors.
