Mrs. Frank Gray Sr. suffered a severe gash over the right eye in a mid afternoon collision on Highway 19 north of town involving a car driven by W F Gray Jr and a trailer hit by Frank Peed’s truck. Billie Gray and W F Gray Jr. escaped with minor injuries. Both drivers said the crash was unavoidable and patrols found no fault.

The James clothing store, Ideal's newest and modern ready to wear shop, was completely destroyed by a fire that started early Tuesday. The blaze originating from an unknown source consumed the building before nearby departments arrived after the collapse. adjoining structures remained unharmed. Owned by Mr and Mrs Jesse James the store had operated for over a year selling dry goods clothing and shoes.

Conductor Frierson Praised for Alertness in Preventing Accidents
Conductor F S Frierson of Macon received commendations from Superintendent S G Roney for alert actions. On November 27 he stopped a train at Mizell after detecting a broken rail and a rail replacement was made. Burglars Take Up To $20,000 From Georgia Farmer
Nashville Ga Jan 20 burglars broke into the home of S. King a prominent Berrien county farmer and escaped with between 18 000 and 20 000 in cash. The King home was broken into while the family was visiting friends and the intruders tore away the bottom of a three foot safe. Other valuables remained untouched.

Talbotton Woman Burned as Neighbors Rescue Her
In Talbotton on Tuesday Lottie Kim brough a 65 year old African American woman locked in a small house near town. Rain fell as she barred doors with blocks and her clothes caught fire. Neighbors forced the door to reach her. A doctor and the Red Cross later transported her to a hospital.
