Train Crash Near Reynolds Causes Heavy Losses
A head-on collision between two Central of Georgia trains in Reynolds injured no one seriously and caused major financial losses. Eastbound freight struck westbound passenger No. 1 as the passenger train paused for a side track. Engineers and firemen jumped to safety. freight engineer A B Bentley suffered painful injuries, while T W Hines had minor head injuries. Nine freight cars derailed, six demolished. passenger cars were not derailed though pushed back over 100 yards. Wrecking crew from Mton arrived. track repaired enough for service by Tuesday night.
