By order of the local military board a large percent of men white and colored in class one yet to be called to camp attended Thursday night to hear D. Sanders formerly of Chicago now a first lieutenant at Camp Gordon speak on health and hygiene. The talk was short yet instructive and should spur self care. Dr T G Turk and other local speakers contributed. Despite rain and cold the courthouse was packed, the largest crowd in days.

Demobilization Leaves U S With Enormous Clothing Stores
Washington November 27 Demobilization will leave the government with vast stores of clothing and equipage. A report by Brigadier General Robert E Wood shows on hand as of November 1 about 5 million cotton coats 6 million woolen coats 4 million overcoats 9 million flannel shirts 45 million drawers 44 million undershirts 11 million pairs of shoes 46 million pairs of stockings and 5 million blankets. Some will be used for demobilization and some retained for regular establishment.
