Crawfordville Man Held After Kidnapping Charge

O T Summers, 41, faced a pretrial hearing on charges including kidnapping his wife and assault with intent to murder. Bond set at 2000 for kidnapping, 1500 for assault with intent, and 200 for pistol without license. a fourth minor charge was dismissed. The sheriff said Summers took their seven year old son and fled, leaving the child with Summers’ wife during the alleged incident. The case was bound over to Crawfordville jail on peace warrants.

Snakebite Fatal Claims Local Church of God Member

Aug 9 Rome Ga A 32 year old Lindaie Bell of Lindale dies at home near Chattanooga after a serpent bite during services at the Dolly Pond Church of God near Birchwood Tenn The death marks the third fatal snake bite since the church was founded three years ago with prior victims from Daisy and Grasshopper community.
