Naval Cadet Path Open to 18-Year-Olds in Australia
The Australian Naval Board plans to admit 18 year olds as cadet midshipmen after training at the Royal Australian Naval College and Royal Navy facilities. Eligible applicants include secondary school graduates across Australia who have passed matriculation level mathematics physics and English. Selected cadet midshipmen will train six months at the college, then proceed to England for cruiser training, eight months aboard a fleet ship, and Greenwich studies before sea service. Multiple annual selections will continue until officer shortages are remedied.
